POR V4.0 comes pre-installed with Porsche diagnostic software. You can also download two additional supported vehicle make groups free of charge, giving the scanner useful coverage beyond Porsche without purchasing another diagnostic platform.
POR V4.0 includes lifetime free software upgrades delivered wirelessly through Wi-Fi. There is no annual software renewal charge for the included diagnostic software.
CAN-FD support gives POR V4.0 the communication capability needed for supported newer Porsche platforms using the higher-data-rate Controller Area Network Flexible Data-rate protocol.
POR V4.0 can send commands to supported control modules and components so technicians can observe actual operation. Active tests can help separate a component problem from wiring, control-module or command issues.
Active-test availability varies by Porsche model, production year and installed control module.
On supported applications, AutoVIN can identify vehicle information automatically, reducing manual vehicle selection and data-entry errors. Manual selection remains available when AutoVIN is not supported.
