Productivity Training “Get Genisys™ Smart”. This is a comprehensive 4-hour course conducted by a CAAT Certified Trainer. It's to help train your customers to achieve greater efficiency with the new Automated System Test and OBD II Smart Cable. All you need is a minimum of 4 people and up to ten customers per class. Once you place your order you will receive a Certificate by Mail that needs to be filled out and faxed back to the number that's listed on the paper work. Once that's done you will receive a phone call from the trainer to set up your date for the Training Event!
SEM-1 Understanding and Diagnosing Fuel Systems. This course is for the B-tech and structured to provide an understanding of fuel systems currently in production. Air/Fuel relationships, mixture formation, injector control and scan tool data interpretation is addressed to provide the technicians with a basis to enhance their diagnostic methods. Practical exercises are included that reinforce the material covered in this program.
SEM-4 Electrical and Electronics. Quickly get to the root cause of electrical problems by knowing the proper tests to perform. Use Ohms Law to easily calculate voltage, amperage, and resistance in a circuit. Understand how and why to do voltage drop tests. Learn to diagnose common electrical and electronic problems. Along the way you’ll learn about various test instruments and how to use them and the proper methods for testing starting and charging systems.
SEM-6 Diagnosing with Exhaust Gas. Diagnose performance and emission failures using your gas bench. Learn how gas analysis can lead you to the problem much quicker. This course includes a diagnostic chart that has proven to pinpoint problems in engine control, emission control, and fuel vapor containment. Be able to successfully repair hard to diagnose emissions-related DTCs.
Specific areas of study include:
- How to test Catalytic Converters and assess catalyst efficiency
- Pinpoint which system is at fault.
SEM-8 Advanced Driveability Diagnostics. This course is designed to give intermediate and advanced level technicians a strategy to diagnose fast and effectively. Learn to find the system or systems that are at the fault of the problem. Learn easy tests for mechanical integrity of valves, valve timing, or exhaust restriction. Get the most out of your Scan Tool, Lab Scope, and Gas Analyzer. Review the importance of a good starting and charging system. Learn easy tests of fuel delivery measuring pulse width and fuel trim. Quick review of ignition system diagnostics checking kv output, burn time, crank and cam signals. Discover how easy it is to test sensor inputs, including the correct way of testing O2 sensors. The technician will be able to improve his diagnostic skills and increase the knowledge of use of the diagnostic tools to help pinpoint problems quickly.
- Tester setup for accurate test results
- Where to test in a circuit
- Compare scan tool command to actuator response using the lab scope
- Verify fuel control
Tests for catalytic converters and EGR valves SEM-9 ABS Systems: This course will introduce technicians to the basic theory and operation of Antilock Braking Systems. In it, we look at the typical components used in antilock systems and their functions. The objectives of the program are:
